Schell Lumber is a great store. Staff is very helpful and knowledge. Prices are lower than the Big Box competition. You wouldn't think so but it is true. The perception that I had was it will likely cost me more money that the other big stores, which you know without me mentioning names.I went into Schell Lumber to buy items out of convenience prepared to pay more. Turns out they were cheaper than their competition. I will always go to Schell Lumber. Also, you are supporting a local independent merchant and not a big box store. We need local merchants.
Ordered an assortment of treated lumber, very friendly staff and prompt delivery. Also very good quality lumber compared to other places I've shopped. Unfortunately no longer accept credit cards over the phone, but otherwise a great place for building materials.
Good people. They need to fix the yard in the back . Stay away on rainy days
We bought a Christmas gift for someone and needed to exchange it for a different style. Even though it was past the 6 week "return time", Cheryl and the others at Schell were very compassionate and accommodating and kindly agreed to take it back. There are very few stores that would ever do this and I deeply appreciate them being so "human" about it. In my experience, many managers and companies are very "robotic" and would simply say "no". Thank you for being so helpful.
